I think the ear temp was a bit off, but he was burning up and it was scary. I hope Z-dub is getting past that stage for all your sake.James (SeattleDad)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04087365610002249685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8195142635395855095.post-45872045676612356392008-07-07T13:49:00.000-07:002008-07-07T13:49:00.000-07:00Welcome to my world. The kid practically lives on Tylenol and Ibuprofen. It's horrible.Jason Rothhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12344040175168572355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8195142635395855095.post-59707787091750526232008-07-04T15:02:00.000-07:002008-07-04T15:02:00.000-07:00@Sci-Fi - Thanks so much. I am amazed at how we can still get him to giggle in the midst of crying, or at least crack a smile even when he is feeling his worst. We just can't help but repeat the mantra of how good a little boy he is when he can do those things when he is feeling so terrible.James (SeattleDad)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04087365610002249685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8195142635395855095.post-73060346798101142802008-07-04T14:40:00.000-07:002008-07-04T14:40:00.000-07:00I hope he's starting to feel better. Like the othe...I hope he's starting to feel better. Like the others, we know how hard it is to watch the little guy suffer. What amazes me is that they seem to face it so valiantly. I don't know if you've experienced this, but Cooper manages to be able to crack a smile and have a little fun even when we know he must feel like hell. I can't say that about myself.

We were freaked out by the first high fever, too. The lethargy, limpness, and glassy eyes were frightening, but we learned quickly what a wonder drug Tylenol seems to be for the little ones.

Get well soon, Lukas!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8195142635395855095.post-71148006274166649562008-07-04T11:45:00.000-07:002008-07-04T11:45:00.000-07:00Nothing worse than seeing your kid suffer and feel...Nothing worse than seeing your kid suffer and feeling helpless. It was a difficult night with Luke awake several times and extremely hot (ear temp was at 105 once, but am not sure how accurate that was since we did under the arm and it was 103). He does seem to be a bit better this morning, but still tired and running a lower fever. My heart nearly skipped a beat when that temp read 105!)

Thanks for the advice as well MTE - This is really uncharted for us, since this is the first time his temp has been so high. It's nice to hear from someone who has been there before.James (SeattleDad)https://www.blogger.com/profile/04087365610002249685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8195142635395855095.post-12107393724646295212008-07-04T09:36:00.000-07:002008-07-04T09:36:00.000-07:00I have to disagree with Dan, an ill me is far wors...I have to disagree with Dan, an ill me is far worse!

get well soon wee fella.Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11044403947730363259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8195142635395855095.post-29932284667645362532008-07-04T06:51:00.000-07:002008-07-04T06:51:00.000-07:00FLUIDS!
