The Sweater

With cooler Fall temperatures making their appearance here in Seattle, I didn't think twice when I came across a comfortable looking sweater, priced to sell, at a local used clothing store. I made my purchase happy to have gotten a good deal, but didn't give it much more thought.

That is, until I had washed it and slipped it on a couple of nights ago to warm up for the evening after putting Lukas to bed.
.

As I came downstairs, Mrs. LIAYF greeted me with a smile and a laugh, then said:
-
"Well, at least now we know where Waldo is!"
-
If anyone is looking for me I'll be, ahem, hiding out somewhere here in Seattle. With my comfortable sweater.

  2. Dude, not only did she make the Waldo crack, but now she said you looked "cute".

You are now morally obligated to throw away that sweater. It's the law.

  4. @Mighty M - It won't deter me.

@Mrs. LIAYF - A cute Waldo? Where do I go with that?

    @Scifi - Maybe I'll have a give away.

@Lady Mama - Not a bad idea. Halloween is around the corner.

  5. I've never before heard of Waldo.

Based on this post and comments I'm guessing that's a good thing, right?

  6. Uhmm it looks like you could be working on a chain gang.

Or that you are a Chicago bBears fan from those old SNL skits. Da Bears.

  7. I like it! As long as its comfortable - who cares - now if you walk out in public in it, you might have some 'splaining to do to Mrs. LIAYF

  8. What do we win for spotting you? Will you be wearing the matching hat? Did you get a book deal yet?

  9. I love fall, its so nice to have the weather turn a bit colder. I'm right there with you on getting the sweaters out of the closet. I'm in NJ and the leaves are starting to change. Have enjoyed reading your blog the last week or two. I just wrote about a related topic on mine if you are interested:

  10. Not that I have ANY room to talk regarding fashion sense...but I thought you were gonna say she asked you how to get to Sesame Street. (And if you didn't know, she'd ask your roommate Bert.)

  12. I still wouldn't be able to find you. I was never good at those books.

  13. My husband is slightly colour-blind and occasionally I have to stop him from leaving for work and recommend he adjust his wardrobe. :) (I asked him if he wanted me to do this and he assured me he did!)

I actually kind of like your Waldo sweater! Just promise me you won't wear orange pants with it.
