Do I Have to Spell it Out For You?

In a recent post I commented that I was astounded at how someone on the radio could use "The C Word" outloud during dinner. I opined that they must not have received the memo regarding that word.

Well, it appears that Lukas did, in fact, get the memo. Upon coming downstairs at 7:00 AM this morning, Luke went directly over to a neatly put away box of ASL flash cards, opened them and began thumbing through them, tossing aside the ones he didn't want....

Until he found what he was looking for, and politely walked over to me with big, expectant eyes and handed me this . . .

I'm going to try that one myself. Now I just need to find a card that has a new MacBook on it.

I am going to look for a card with a Victoria Secret model on it...

My sister taught her kids sign language, and I thought it was a great idea as they seemed to do well with it before they could talk much. But now that I have my own, well i just don't think I have the patience. And then I would have to fork over cookies all the time. Ignorance can be bliss.

@Mandy - Hahaha! Yeah, I'm going to burn that one.

@Dan - The actual sign for that one would be your wife gufawing!

@MTAE - Yeah, but who are you going to hand it to?

@Surfer Jay- The signing thing is actually fun once they get the hang of it. Helps them communicate alleviate some of that frustration. Like at not having a cookie!

Goody, goody, as long as the sign for 'no' comes with the set, we'll be golden. Then I need to remember the 'no' and the 'cookie' sign in that order. Perhaps we can pitch the cookie card altogether and replace it with a broccoflower card. Then again, if I blender up some broccoflower and implant it in the cookies....

Yeah, you're toast.

@Surfer Jay - If that is what I am thinking - Romanesco Califlower? - then I love the stuff.

Not sure I would want it in a cookie though,

@Xbox - Yeah, I figured as much. He is catching on to things way to fast...

Dude, you are in trouble--in a metter of months the kid will be able to ask for cookie in 5 different languages. He will not be denied!

@Ed - Apparently Pasta is Cookie in Spanish. Like I said to Art Dada, this could get confusing.
