This Volkswagen commercial is 100% pure Awesome.
I originally saw this video yesterday over at Father Apprentice and, given the nature of my blog and the fact that I used to do this very trick with Lukas and our Volkswagen when he was younger, I HAD to re-post it here.
We don't have TV at home, so perhaps you have all seen this before. However, it was new to me and it made me smile. I especially like the greeting that Dad gets.
Enjoy.

Awesome - I think there are 2 more in the VW series...they made them to air during the Superbowl I think. :)
That's genius!
The mother's "What is he up to now..." is my face pretty much the entire day.
@Mighty M - Cool. Now I have to see the others. Probably during the game.
@Creative - Absolutely.
@BloggerFather - I think it's the default parent look.
I know, right?
I forget where I saw this first, but I've watched it several times. Cute as hell.
I love how dejected young Vader is when he can't move the dog, the plate, the doll..... and then magic happens with the car, and he's astounded. All communicated without showing his face.
You made my day with this post!! Thank you for that! Awesomeness cubed.
I so totaly love this. I saw it on Us And Them yesterday and had to post it to my FB status.
We could all use a little force now and then. ;)
great way to start my day! Now I know to not stop trying to use my force throw powers...one day it may work!
With the DVR, I don't watch many commercials anymore. I hadn't seen this yet-awesome! Even with the mask on, you can feel the kid's excitement when the car starts-hilarious!
Awesome. There's no other way to describe it!
nothing seemed to work loved the ending when at last he is succesful
And that'll pretty much be the greeting dad gets when the kid is able to drive too. "Yay! Daddy's home!" will later become "Finally...the car is back so I can go out."
Saw that one during the Super Bowl. I think it was voted the best commercial of the Super Bowl too.
If a commercial's job is to make me want the product they are selling, than this one does it's job very well.
Now all I need is a kid who will wear a Darth Vader helmet.
I'd never seen that before--it's brilliant (and surprising, since most car commercials aren't humorous)!
