Reel Alphabet Song

Happy Saturday Readers.  Mrs. LIAYF and I had a real life date night last night, which is something we have thankfully been able to do more of recently! We started out by attending a nice dinner (think prime rib and open bar) and reception, then near the end slipped away to catch a new movie called Win Win

We had a lot of fun, and Win Win was actually one of the better movies we have seen in a while.  I would even go out on a limb and call it the best high school wrestling movie since Vision Quest.  Yeah I know, I know, you're probably skeptical. But it really is a good flick, even though there aren't any scenes with wrestlers carrying logs on their shoulder up stadium stairs.  "Shute! Shute!"
Anyway, after seeing the movie I then visited one of my recent favorite blogs, Life of Riles, and read a post by Tim who listed his favorite movies from A-Z.  The post was fun to read and it inspired me to post my own list of favorite movies by letter.

Here they are.  Let me know what your favoite of these is, and also what some of your own favorites are.

Love your list. Many of these are favorites of mine as well. I think the most interesting one for me is Big Fish. I remember liking that one quite a bit, and seeing it here makes me want to watch again.

@Dipplo Great list. Love that we have a lot of the same tastes. Haven't seen Passenger 57 yet. I'll have to check that out. Thanks for listing yours.

@Tim - thanks for the inspiration. We watched Big Fish on Christmas when it came out, and now watch during the holidays nearly every year. Great flick.

Oh what fun. I enjoyed reading yours and it instantly made me think of mine so I'm going to have to nab this idea and write a post at some point too.

So hard though to narrow down your faves - so many of mine fall into about 3 or 4 letters!

Passenger 57 has the great Wesley Snipes line, "Always Bet on Black."

Nice list bud. I was going to try and give you my list, but it took me five minutes to figure out an A movie I've seen. So my list is incomplete due to time restraints (not for lack of wanting too).

A - American History X

You've got a lot of my favorites on that list - hard to pick just one! But I loved Contact, Princess Bride, Dances with Wolves, and Napoleon Dynamite.

Zombieland: noooooooo! Probably out of those ... not sure... maybe The Usual Suspects. Good for you guys for getting out on a date. We're trying to make it a more frequent thing too.

Big Fish, Napolean and Return of the King - Personal favs from your list, not necessarily in that order. I'm too lazy to go A to Z.

Sarah and I recently had a date night for my birthday. It was our first date in about a year and it was absolutely fantastic. Glad you got to have a great time with the missus.

Wow I could list all those as my favs too, except Napoleon Dynamite as I have yet to see that movie.

Blade Runner would take its place.

@Babes - Let me know. I would love to read it.

@Jack - Awesome line.

@Eric - Haven't seen American History X. Have to pick it up.

@Mighty M - All great pictures for sure. Fun to think of.

@LadyMama - Zombieland was awesome!!!

@HeeWho - Ah, but not too lazy to leave a comment. Thanks so much and for stopping by.

@IrrationalDad - You need more of those Joe. Even if they are short. Keeps you sane.

@Mik - Thanks for stopping by, although I am not sure you got the gist of the list. Blade Runner is a fantastic flick though.
