That made me laugh! And I was imagining the voices as I read it too.

Man, I've had this conversation MANY, MANY times. And as they get older, they get better at this. They start trying to break deals with you. Daddy, if I clean my room, and half the living room, can I stay up half more hour? What if I pick up my dirty clothes? Can I stay up even LONGER?

Dude...get used to it, like Super Mega Dad said, he will get more creative and to the point that you will give in without noticing it!

Gosh, that sounds just like Owen and Steve; only without the light sabers.

Ah yes, the indecisiveness of the toddler. We're fighting over making the move from cot (crib) to bed. Bedtime sounds a lot like:

"Bed."

"Cot."

"Bed."

"Cot."

"Bed."

"COTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!"

You get the idea.

@Eric - This was actually episode III. Stay tuned.

@Eric - Nice thing, you can never be too old for that word.

@Scifi - Thanks.

@Lady Mama - It is much better imagining the voices. I just hear myself and Lukas when I read it.

@PJ - Never too old.

@Super Mega Dad - I am bracing myself.

@Krystal - I am already ready to give up at times. Mrs. LIAYF is the resolute one.

@Kori - He got out of hand so I had to take his away for a while.

@A Free Man - A cot? You have yourself a little boot camp going on? LOL. Thanks for stopping by.

Dude if you rocked me to sleep wearing that I would be scared.

James (SeattleDad) said...

@DC - I could take it off but it would just be scarier.

Love it! Just so you know, it doesn't get easier as they get older. The requests just get stranger!

Nice. Daddy is like kryptonite around here when bedtime comes. First thing in the morning "oh, I'm so excited it's daddy's turn to tuck me in tonight!!". To bedtime "NO!! I WANT MOMMY!!! NOOOOOO!". Sigh....
