Happy Monday everyone. It's a glorious Spring Day here in the Emerald City, the Winter weather seems to finally be behind us, and the mood around here is definitely upbeat.
As I have mentioned recently Lukas has been going pretty crazy with his words as of late. But it has been just this weekend that he has started to say his own name in earnest. We have heard a lot about the exploits of Daddy, Mommy, and Oookie (Lukie).
This morning Luke grabbed our camera (note to self: store camera in a much higher place) and ran over to me shouting "Oookie, Oookie, Oookie!". He insisted I take his picture so he could see himself on the screen. He even hammed it up. It was all fun, that is until I had to take the camera away.
I thought I would share the joy!

OOKIE way to take Monday by the balls.
If he adds a "W" at the beginning it might sound even cuter!
Oookie, class!
Awesome on the Ookie! Jacob points to our family picture and says Momma, Dada, Baby!!!! Cute pic too!
@DC - He had a good Monday. We were off today so he had extra time with Mom and Dad.
@Eric - He is Luke, not the Wookie.
@Xbox - Well, it is better than LuLu!
@Being Us. - Thanks. I just did as instructed.
I can't believe how much he looks like you in that photo.
Just wait until he figures out how to use the camera by himself.
Our 3-year-old's the same way with wanting to see himself on the screen of our digital camera. We barely snap his picture before he's running towards us saying, "I see? I see?"
@Scifi - I hear it a lot, but so does Mrs. LIAYF. He is a great mix of the two of us.
@Ed - It's not for a lack of trying. He get a hold of it and starts to push every button on it. Hence having to take it away.
@FilmFather - I hear thye really love to see themselves on film when they get a bit older. I don't get enough video of our day to day fun things. This should serve as a reminder to me.
Aw, Ookie is so CUTE!
Have you thought about getting him one of those Fisher Price kid cameras? We have one and the kids LOVE it. They can run around taking their own pictures and I don't have to worry about them breaking the "big camera". It's all ruberized, so if they drop it, it just bounces. :) The one we have hooks up to the computer and we occasionally download all the images for a good laugh at what the kids consider "picture material".
@Super Mega Dad - Actually, I hadn't. But Mrs. LIAYF and I think that is a great idea and may make it part of his 2nd birthday gift. Thanks for the idea.
@Petra - Thanks. He has a personality to match. Lots of fun.
