Not Your Standard Deduction

Oh the Joy!  We're entering tax time in the U.S. again readers.

This past year was certainly not a routine one, tax-wise, for our household. So today, Mrs. LIAYF and I have been sorting through our receipts looking for credits and deductions wherever we can find some.

We think we found a big one.

Thankfully we finalized Annabelle's adoption during the final week of 2012.

What's baby sign language for 'Refund'?  Anyone?

THAT is awesome.

Have you thought about marketing her for HR block? Maybe they'll do your taxes for free. :)

Ha, awesome for you all--congrats.

But "boo" to you for reminding me about taxes as I live in a wonderful State where I have to complete 4 sets of separate forms.

Great picture, honey!!

@Juli - I do our taxes each year. It's my punishment for taking tax classes during law school because the professor was funny. :)

@Slamdunk - 4 sets of tax forms. Oh, the humanity!

Ah, I sort of wish you hadn’t mentioned taxes. Reminds me of all the paperwork I need to complete, even though I have absolutely nothing to claim.

Great picture! How did you get that child of yours to sit still long enough to capture that shot?
