Tuggy

You know, just when it seemed that I had reached my absolute internal frustration breaking point with my wife for Bogarting our laptop, thus preventing me from doing my precious blogging, she went and scored us a FREE Little Tikes Tugboat sandbox.

The real finds on Craigslist don't last very long at all and she found it mere moments after it was posted.

With a little Simple Green and elbow grease Tuggy (hey, that the name emblazoned on it) will be almost a good as new. Man, I love Craigslist.

Oh, ahem. . . .and of course Mrs. LIAYF!!

That brings back memories. My kids had one. We'd fill it up with sand in the spring and fall, but in the summer it was their first little wading pool. We sold it for $20 at a garage sale when they were older.

We found Jacob the plastic turtle with lid "Little Tykes" sandbox this weekend! Can't wait to get some warm weather and start playing in it!

Nice catch at the end there. Now you won't have to sleep in Tuggy.

speaking of having a lid on it, since that one doesn't watch out for any neighborhood cats leaving "deposits" in it. have fun and enjoy washing the sand out of every crack and crevice on the little one :)

If it gets too hot you can dump the sand and make it a wading pool.

@IdahoDad - Well, you aren't really that far from me, maybe this is your old Tuggy...

@Beingus - Yesterday seemed like Spring for us and I was excited about getting this cleaned up. Today, it was just plain frigid again. Soon though.

@Captain - Although I hope it never comes to that, I could probably curl up nicely in Tuggy. lol.

@Nonna - Actually it did come with a lid. We have heard the cat stories.

@Ed - I think that may be a terrific idea for sometime in July or August, which is when it usually gets 'wading pool hot' here.

Nice find. I need to go on Craigslist more.

@Vegasdad - You can find great deals (like free), and it reduces waste. Good combination.

Thanks for visiting. I enjoy your blog very, very much, read it all on this page. My daughter is all grown up now, but what an era it was. You are super lucky that the distract thing works. I bet he sleeps, too! It must be your karmic payback for that pee bucket job when you were younger. And isn't Craigslist the greatest?

@Sara - Thanks! We are in the mutual admiration society. Yes, karmic payback working in my favor. I love it!
